Green or Clean Energy
Energy that does not produce CO2 or other emissions that affect the climate. Typical examples are wind and solar power and are also referred to as renewable energy sources.
Many of these energy sources have become cheaper to produce and run than many fossil fuel powered energy sources. A key downside of energy sources like solar and wind is they are not continuous. Solar panels are useless when it is dark and wind generators stop on calm days. Energy storage can help to even out the output of these energy sources and make them more reliable and continuous, using the stored energy when it’s dark or the wind is still.
