Fusion Energy

Fusion energy is a form of nuclear energy that is safe and that cannot get out of control.

Generating energy from fusion is achieved by re-creating the process that happens in the core of our Sun, but here on Earth. Fusion is the source of the energy that powers the Sun and hence our planet. In the Sun conversion of hydrogen to helium by fusion happens at 15 million degrees and under extreme pressure. On Earth we cannot create the same pressures so it has to be done at around 100 million degrees or more.
